CVSA schedules 2018 International Roadcheck for June

Every year, the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance conducts a 72-hour inspection spree on commercial trucks and buses in West Virginia and the rest of the U.S. The spree covers all of North America, in fact. It's called the International Roadcheck, and it's meant to ensure compliance with both driver- and vehicle-related safety guidelines.

Common causes of trucking accidents

Commercial trucks play a vital role in the economy of West Virginia and around the country, delivering around 70 percent of all the nation's products. However, the downside is that many of them are involved in serious accidents every year. Worse, the number of annual truck crashes has increased by 20 percent over the last 10 years.
